i like how a bit of 'real world' info is added - obviously Toady likes to do things properly too, so it fits. However a stricter separation between that and in game mechanism might be in order. --Koltom 13:16, 12 February 2008 (EST)

Considering that there was a very clear misperception that potash, and not lye, was used for the soap-making process, that kind of information is useful. Perhaps we should split articles into two? Mechanical information in the first half, and real-world backing of game mechanics in the second? Some1else 08:22, 13 February 2008 (EST)
